Vandalism

This is unfortunately is not a one off instance of anti-social behaviour we experience at the Woodlands Centre.  We experience varying scales of damage, as some of our regulars will know. Our neighbours, Saltburn Valley Tea Room and Saltburn Minature Railway have also been hit in recent months.

The building which was vandalised on Saturday, May 6th 2017, is our accessible toilet, which unfortunately means we cannot hire out the centre or use it for any of our lovely acitivities.

The first to suffer is the pre-school group 'Woodland Weevils', which is normally held on a Tuesday afternoon.  But due to this needless vandalism, we have had no choice but to cancel and inform all the parents that it cannot take place.

As you are aware we are a registered charity, and have no paid members of staff, so every penny counts.  We hold regular events so we can maintain and keep the building open, as a valuable community asset. Cleveland Police have been on scene, taken statements and gathered evidence.  The estimated damage is approximately £7,000 for the toilet block. As you can imagine it will take a long time for us the raise the funds.

Could I please ask you to give generously, however small, to the following JustGiving Crowdfunding page or alternatively you could donate via Paypal, but please put Vandalism in the reference.
